- JOB DESCRIPTION: 25 marine crew at Cochin Port
Applications are invited for various posts in the Marine Crew category at Cochin Port Authority. There are 25 vacancies. The appointment is on a two-year contract basis.
* GP Crew: Vacancy-9. Salary: 29,000
Qualification: Must have passed 10th class and swimming test. Also, current STCW. Course Certificate is required. Age: Not more than 60 years.
* Winch Operator: Vacancy-4. Salary: Rs. 30,000
Qualification: 10th class pass, current STCW certificate, SSLC or higher qualification certificate as per the Harbour Craft Act and two years of work experience.
Age should not exceed 60 years.
* Junior Supervisor (Marine Cranes): Vacancy- 4. Salary Rs. 35,000. Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Age: Not exceeding 60 years.
* Engine Fitter: Vacancy-2.
Salary: Rs. 30,000. Qualification: 10th class pass and Engine Room Watch Keeping Certificate. Age: Not exceeding 60 years.
* Other posts will also be vacant: Cook-1, Deck Hand-1, Seaman Grade III-1, Seaman Grade II-3.
