Job Description
Recruitment for Goods Train Manager posts under CEN 06/2026 (Graduate category). Responsibilities include supervising train operations, ensuring safe transit of freight/goods trains, coordinating with station and control staff, and managing train documentation.
Salary: Pay Level 5 under 7th CPC (Initial Basic Pay of ₹29,200/- plus applicable DA, HRA, and other allowances as per railway rules)
Experience Required: Freshers / Graduates are eligible
Qualification Required: Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
Age Limit: 18 to 33 years as on 1st January 2027 (with standard category age relaxations)
Vacancies: 2,750 tentative vacancies distributed across various RRBs
Medical Standard: A-2 (Physically fit in all respects; distant vision 6/9, 6/9 without glasses without fogging test; near vision Sn: 0.6, 0.6 without glasses; must pass tests for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, and myopic vision;
Note: Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery are NOT eligible for A-2 medical standard posts)
Selection Process: 1st Stage CBT, 2nd Stage CBT, Document Verification, and Medical Examination Application Fee: ₹500/- (General/OBC, partially refundable) / ₹250/- (SC/ST/ExSM/PwBD/Female/EBC/Minorities, fully refundable upon appearing in 1st stage CBT)
