Job Description
Monitor daily operations, functioning, and maintenance of the laboratory animal facility; oversee breeding, husbandry, maintenance, colony management, and care of laboratory animals including transgenic and knockout mouse models; daily health monitoring and necropsy; train researchers, students, and support staff in humane handling and surgical procedures; assist senior veterinarian in procurement, animal imports, and institutional animal ethics committee coordination. Available for emergency veterinary care after work hours, on weekends, and holidays.
Salary: Pay Level 11, Pay Stage 1 (7th CPC Pay Matrix); Total Monthly Emoluments (TME): ₹140,150/-
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of working experience in a laboratory animal facility (Rodents).
Qualification Required: Full Time Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) with aggregate of 60% marks from a recognized university/institute.
Valid Indian Veterinary Council / State Veterinary Council registration.
Upper Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications (age relaxations as per rules).
