Job Description
Manage and maintain C. elegans and bacterial strain repositories ensuring long-term preservation and genetic integrity; perform cryopreservation, viability testing, strain verification, and quality control; maintain inventories, databases, and records; coordinate strain distribution and ensure biosafety compliance. Available for emergency care of repositories after work hours, on weekends, and holidays.
Salary: Pay Level 6, Pay Stage 1 (7th CPC Pay Matrix); Total Monthly Emoluments (TME): ₹73,020/-
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of work experience in a molecular biology laboratory for science graduates OR at least 2 years of relevant work experience for diploma holders.
Qualification Required: Full time Science Graduate (aggregate 60% marks) in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology or any area of life sciences OR Full time Diploma (aggregate 60% marks) in any area of life sciences. Knowledge of personal computers and applications.
Upper Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications (age relaxations as per rules).
